Following on the successful installation at other UK libraries, Haringey libraries has installed wireless broadband service in its libraries further enhancing its provision for public e-access. The service provided by RegenerateIT, is simple to use, low cost and provides fast access to the web for its users.

Aberdeen Goes Live

Following on the successful installation at other UK libraries, Aberdeen added a wireless broadband service to its provision for public e-access. The service, provided by RegenerateIT, is simple to use, low cost and provides fast access to the web for its users.

The system, which was installed discretely in less than a day, provides wireless access throughout the building, enabling more people to have easier digital access and freeing up existing desktop machines for existing users in the library.

 

Wi-Fi in Libraries

RegenerateIT has organised a ‘Wi-Fi in Libraries’ conference on behalf of CILIP. This conference provided the latest information on technology and presented the best solutions for the not-for-profit sector. Keynote speaker, Chris Batt, spoke about the importance of wi-fi to the continued use of the library service.

All paying delegates were given the chance to win a wireless enabled HP laptop computer, kindly donated by RegenerateIT.

 

Technical Update

As part of their commitment to the quality of the service provided to the not for profit sector, RegenerateIT is pleased to announce that the system behind its successful wireless hotspot service has been upgraded to the latest technology.

Bob Hundal, technical director of RegenerateIT’s partners LifestyleIT said, ‘We are ensuring that the user has the best possible on-line experience whenever they are accessing the internet through the RegenerateIT service’.

All work is now complete with minimal service disruption.

 

British Library Installs ‘RegenerateIT’ Wireless Hotspots

In June 2007 The British Library added a wireless broadband service to its provision for public e-access. The service provided by RegenerateIT, is simple to use, low cost and provides fast access to the web for its users.

The system, which was installed discretely in less than a day, provides wireless access throughout the building as well as on the piazza outside, allowing users the flexibility to be where they are most comfortable.

The British Library are keen for the users of the service to be able to get the most from the system and say ‘we are confident that in RegenerateIT we have installed the best wireless provision available to the public sector’.
