Review and Evaluation of WiFi in Scottish Public Libraries

Working on behalf of the Scottish Libraries and Information Council (SLIC) and RegenerateIT, evaluation specialists Civic Regeneration have surveyed WiFi provision in Scotland’s public libraries. The report establishes the extent of existing wireless services and assesses planned future provision within the library sector. Extensive plans for wireless provision were recorded, and the report carries important messages for the future of WiFi delivery.

MLA Publish National Evaluation with RegenerateIT

The Museum Libraries and Archives (MLA) Authority, the strategic body for libraries in England, have published the first comprehensive evaluation of Wireless Broadband in Libraries. The research, carried out jointly with Regenerateit, shows that this new technology is growing rapidly as a free to end user service and that 40% of Library Services have it by mid 2007.
